NEWSWORTHY HOTEL DEVELOPMENTS

Several prominent resorts and hotels in The Palm Beaches are undergoing substantial transformations, enhancing the guest experience.

Jupiter Beach Resort & Spa – Jupiter (Now Open)

This property recently completed a transformation, including 175 newly-renovated guest rooms and suites. Additional upgrades include the resort’s banquet and ballroom spaces, and the newly-opened Latitudes restaurant, which offers fresh-caught seafood in a sophisticated coastal setting. The nine-story resort features a heated oceanfront pool and whirlpool spa, an outdoor lounge area with cabana-style chairs, a fire pit, a fitness center, a lighted tennis and pickleball court, beach and pool concierge, and kids club activities.

Hilton West Palm Beach West Palm Beach (Coming Soon – November 2023)
Centrally located in downtown West Palm Beach, the Hilton West Palm Beach will debut a complete transformation this November. The $25 million renovation includes 400 refreshed guestrooms, including 43 suites, four enhanced dining destinations, a reimagined pool deck, six newly-constructed cabanas, and the addition of a lobby bar and a variety of wellness activities. Guests will be able to experience curated programming ranging from fitness and wellness to arts and culture. Examples include meditative sound healing, scavenger hunts, poolside sessions, book clubs, weekly fitness classes and more.

Tideline Ocean Resort & Spa – Palm Beach (Coming Soon – November 2023)

The oceanfront hotel will reopen this November following a $20 million renovation, including updates to 135 contemporary guest rooms, two restaurants, the lobby and other spaces.

Palm Beach Marriott Singer Island Beach Resort & Spa Singer Island (Coming Soon – December 2023)
This December, the only all-suite beachfront property in The Palm Beaches will unveil a multimillion-dollar enhancement. Situated on the beaches of the Singer Island community in Riviera Beach, the renovation of the Palm Beach Marriott Singer Island Beach Resort & Spa will include the restaurant, lobby, marketplace, bar, and lounge. The renovation will elevate the luxury resort’s modernized yet warm design to highlight its oceanfront setting and coastal feel. The resort’s new layout will boast an open space concept throughout sections of the property.

Hilton Singer Island Oceanfront Palm Beaches Resort Singer Island (Coming Soon – January 2024)
This property is in the process of a full re-imagination that includes renovating the 223 guestrooms, pool, food and beverage concepts, meeting and event spaces and public areas. Concepted by Design One Studio, the design embraces timeless luxury and a fresh, quiet elegance with coastal textures and colors that take Mediterranean-style cues. The resort will re-open as The Singer Oceanfront Resort in 2024, featuring a signature restaurant with new American coastal cuisine, a coffee and grab-and-go concept, a pool and a beachfront bar.

Exciting updates await guests in The Palm Beaches this season, as several hoteliers unveil enticing offerings.

PGA National Resort Palm Beach Gardens (Now Offering)

PGA National Resort unveils a fresh array of guest experiences this season, including a new charter boat, beekeeping experience, pickleball courts and spa treatments. The new Luxury Catamaran Cruise hosted by Visit Palm Beach is an unforgettable open ocean cruise – perfect for a romantic sunset cruise, sightseeing, snorkeling or fishing. For a fun and educational activity on the property, guests can now sign up for an interactive beekeeping experience, led by PGA National Resort’s beekeeper. Following the experience, guests can see the honey in action throughout the resort in treatments at The Spa, and in drinks and culinary creations at the resort’s celebrity chef-helmed restaurants. Guests can also try their hand at pickleball on six new courts with expert guidance from Pro Alex Pop-Moldovan. After hitting the court, enjoy the latest in wellness offerings at The Spa, with treatments including acupuncture, cupping, CBD therapies, and indulgent massages. In addition to The Spa, guests can enjoy the new Groom Guy, a top-notch wellness brand geared to male hotel guests and visitors.

AKA West Palm West Palm Beach (Now Offering & Coming Soon)

Starting this fall, guests can book short, nightly stays, expanding on the existing week-long and monthly visit offerings. This pet-friendly haven recently opened the AKA Pet Spa, powered by D is for Dog, a local dog wash and grooming salon. The new offering invites guests to treat their furry companions to a lavish spa experience. For guests seeking their own pampering, the upcoming Body+Beauty Lab med spa will offer a variety of spa and nonsurgical cosmetic treatments, from facials and chemical peels to body contouring and laser treatments. Coming soon, The Blind Monk, a local wine bar and eatery, will find its new home at AKA West Palm. Relaunching with an enhanced menu, the wine bar will remain open to the public while providing exclusive experiences for AKA guests.

The Colony Hotel Palm Beach (Now Offering & Coming Soon)
The Colony Hotel will have new and returning offerings this season, including the debut of the goop Villa, co-designed with Gwyneth Paltrow’s brand and in partnership with interior design firm Ronen Lev as part of goop’s 15th-anniversary celebration. The renovated villa takes inspiration from the romance of Parisian pied-à-terres, with the vibrant colors and materiality of Palm Beach. The result is a stunning, collected mix of old world and new, an elegant, feminine sanctuary, complete with a collection of goop beauty products for guests to enjoy. The goop Villa offers a direct private entrance, two bedrooms, two and a half baths, an open living and dining room with an adjacent kitchen, charming outdoor space and access to a private pool for the hotel villas. Guests of The Colony Hotel will have the opportunity to enjoy special goop menu offerings at the Pink Paradise Café and Swifty’s Restaurant.

The Breakers – Flagler Club Palm Beach (Coming Soon – Fall 2023)

PopStroke – Delray Beach, West Palm Beach and Wellington (Coming Soon 2023-2024)

Three Tiger Woods-backed, state-of-the-art miniature golf courses will be built in Palm Beach County, with new locations coming to Delray Beach (2023), West Palm Beach (2024), and Wellington (2024). PopStroke features two 18-hole putting courses built entirely with synthetic turf, which incorporate fairways and bunkers and are just as rough as on a traditional golf course.

TGL Palm Beach Gardens (Coming Soon – Winter 2024)

TGL presented by SoFi is an innovative golf league in partnership with the PGA TOUR fusing advanced tech and live action in primetime. The league will launch with six teams each consisting of three PGA TOUR players competing in a two-hour team golf competition, offering a fresh approach to the sport with a focus on technology, innovation and fan engagement. Artists in Motion: Impressionist and Modern Masterpieces from the Pearlman Collection at The Norton Museum of Art West Palm Beach (Now Open)

The Norton Museum has a new exhibit, Artists in Motion: Impressionist and Modern Masterpieces from the Pearlman Collection, now through Feb. 18., which features approximately 40 paintings, sculptures and works on paper that explore the intersecting lives of the most celebrated late 19th-and early 20th-century European artists collected by Henry Pearlman.

Bicycles: Technology that Changed the World at The Flagler Museum Palm Beach (Now Open)

The Flagler Museum’s fall exhibition, Bicycles: Technology that Changed the World, Oct. 17 through Dec. 17, 2023, highlights the development and evolution of the bicycle and the profound impact bicycles had on American society and culture. Bicycles emerged during the Gilded Age as a revolutionary means of transportation and leisure, allowing individuals to move freely and easily, without the burden and expenses associated with acquiring and maintaining horse and carriage. At its peak, in a single year, the bicycle revolution in the United States resulted in nearly three hundred companies producing more than a million bicycles, making it one of the nation’s largest industries. From the earliest prototypes of the 1860s to the sophisticated designs of the 1890s, the Flagler Museum’s fall exhibition offers an unparalleled opportunity to see many rare examples of early bicycles and to understand their tremendous impact on American society and culture. 

Origami in the Garden at Mounts Botanical Garden – West Palm Beach (Coming Soon – January 2024) 

Created by Santa Fe artists Jennifer and Kevin Box, 20 larger-than-life sculptures inspired by the ancient Japanese art of origami will emerge skyward throughout Mounts from Jan. 2024 through May 2024, each one a stunning merger of art and nature enhancing and celebrating the verdant environment. Origami in the Garden features not only their compositions, but also moving collaborations with world-renowned origami artists Robert J. Lang, Te Jui Fu, Beth Johnson and Michael G. LaFosse.

Busch Wildlife Sanctuary at Abramson & Schlaggar Reserve Jupiter Farms (Now Open)

Busch Wildlife Sanctuary at Abramson & Schlaggar Reserve, a renowned nonprofit organization dedicated to wildlife conservation and education, has expanded with a new, larger location in Jupiter Farms. This move marks an exciting chapter for the sanctuary, allowing it to increase its operations and provide an enhanced experience for visitors and wildlife enthusiasts. The Jupiter Farms location boasts state-of-the-art facilities designed to foster wildlife rehabilitation, conservation and education. The Sanctuary’s enhanced amenities include spacious habitats, interactive exhibits and a fully-equipped wildlife rehab center, ensuring the highest standard of care for the animals under their protection.

The Royal Poinciana Plaza Après Beach Palm Beach (Coming Soon – November 2023)

While ski slopes are miles away, The Royal Poinciana Plaza Après Beach is trading hot toddies for chilled rosé and giving the après scene a Palm Beach twist. Guests book cabanas styled by The Royal’s retailers and gather friends and family to enjoy Sunday afternoons amidst a lush courtyard complete with bubbles, bites and beats. Après Beach will take place every Sunday in November 2023 and every Sunday in January 2024. Attendees can pre-book cabanas, ranging between $600 and $800. Each cabana seats six people and comes with a selection of five beverages or shared plates.

Endless Summer: Palm Beach Resort Wear at The Richard and Pat Johnson Palm Beach County History Museum  Palm Beach (Coming Soon – November 2023)

The Historical Society of Palm Beach County will present its first-ever Grand Exhibition this season at the Richard and Pat Johnson Palm Beach County History Museum. Endless Summer will explore the impact Palm Beach made on resort fashion over the last 129 years, as it solidified itself as one of America’s premier luxury destinations, where winter comes to summer. In this top fashion hub, brands such as Gucci, Chanel and St. John and iconic fashion influencers such as Jacqueline Kennedy, Lilly Pulitzer and others adopted fresh new looks, ingenuity and a philanthropic spirit.

Palm Beach Food and Wine Festival – Palm Beach County (Coming Soon – December 2023)

Palm Beach Food & Wine Festival (PBF&WF) returns with its four-day lineup of food-related happenings, Dec. 7-10. Guests can anticipate a star-studded lineup of renowned chefs and culinary personalities from around the globe, serving up everything from sizzling live cooking demonstrations and wine tastings to intimate chef-led workshops and private dinners. The 16th annual festival is now partnering with Wine Spectator to increase its wine capabilities with more than 60 wine tables at the popular Grand Tasting event, is hosting seven new events in 2023 and is expanding its footprint throughout The Palm Beaches with a kick-off party in Boca Raton.

James Beard Nominated Chefs Palm Beach County

Palm Beach County has surged to the forefront, dominating the Florida culinary scene with an unprecedented achievement. Five exceptional Palm Beach County chefs earned well-deserved semifinal nominations for the prestigious James Beard Award of “Best Chef” in the South. Among the 2023 list are Jeremy and Cindy Bearman of Oceano Kitchen, Rick Mace of Tropical Smokehouse, Pushkar Marathe of Stage Kitchen, and Lojo Washington of Queen of Sheeba. This remarkable recognition heralds a new era of culinary excellence in Palm Beach County, adding to an already-impressive list of award-winning chefs, including Daniel Boulud, Akira Back, Mauro Colagreco, Lindsay Autry, Jeremy Ford and Clay Conley.

Harry’s, Adrienne’s Pizzabar and Felice at The Square West Palm Beach (Now Open)

Gallaghers Steakhouse – Boca Raton (Now Open)

Adding to the growing list of New York restaurants in The Palm Beaches, restauranteur Dean Poll has brought his legendary Big Apple dining experience, Gallaghers Steakhouse, to Boca Raton, marking the first expansion under the direction of Mr. Poll outside of his historic Manhattan location. Gallaghers’ menu is centered on its famous steaks, aged within its in-house meat locker for 21+ days before being cooked to temperature on its signature hickory coal grills. Aesthetically, Gallaghers Boca emulates the style indicative of 1920s South Florida.

The Jupiter Grill – Jupiter (Now Open)

Located along the water in Harbourside Place, The Jupiter Grill is a modern approach to the coastal steakhouse. Guests can savor the succulent taste of premium cuts of meat and fresh seafood, cooked to perfection by esteemed Chef Paul Niedermann, who rose to fame as the winner of “Hell’s Kitchen” in 2012. Visitors can immerse themselves in the luxurious atmosphere of the waterfront restaurant, complete with elegant décor and impeccable service.

The House located at The Park – West Palm Beach (Now Open)

West Palm Beach’s burgeoning culinary scene will add another tantalizing restaurant to its repertoire: The House. Led by top chef Jason Van Bomel, previously at the helm of 1000 North, the indoor-outdoor restaurant features a locally-inspired coastal menu with dishes such as woodfire pizza topped with clams and creative twists like lobster corndogs. Introducing an entirely new take on golf course restaurants welcoming players, locals and travelers alike, The House is set within The Park, West Palm Beach’s newest golf course, overlooking rolling green fairways and lush tropical vegetation.

Café Boulud – Palm Beach (Now Offering)

Café Boulud now offers afternoon tea, available daily to transport guests to a magical and playful wonderland, with gorgeous teapots and dainty and delicious finger foods. While the British might have started high tea, Café Boulud has added a French twist, creating its own afternoon tea experience. Set in the charming dining room or courtyard of the iconic Brazilian Court Hotel, Café Boulud will offer a picturesque setting with a menu of Instagram-worthy specialty teas, mini madeleines and scones, as well as mouthwatering and perfectly-proportioned savory and sweet bites, thoughtfully fashioned by Executive Pastry Chef Julie Franceschini. The decadent Afternoon Tea experience is $48 per person. For a further dash of extravagance, guests can opt for a glass of something sparkly and choose from a range of bubbles on the menu.

Campi at The Ray Hotel Delray Beach (Coming Soon – Fall 2023)
The Ray Hotel, Curio Collection by Hilton, is raising the bar by launching Campi, an exciting new dining concept by acclaimed restaurateur, Curt Huegel, owner of the classic Italian restaurant Campagnola in New York City. Campi will occupy the former Ember Grill space and dish out Italian classics and new favorites using fresh, sustainable and local ingredients. In addition to the already-lauded first-floor namesake concept, which has gained mass acclaim as one of the best restaurants in Palm Beach County, Chef Akira Back will take over the property’s Rosewater Rooftop space, expanding his culinary footprint at The Ray.

Galley – Downtown West Palm Beach (Coming Soon – November 2023)

Located in the newly-renovated Hilton West Palm Beach debuting this fall, Galley will celebrate the renovation with a refreshed menu, Sunday brunch experience, wine dinners with world-class vintners and cocktail classes for guests and locals alike. Under the leadership of Hauk Cornell, lead mixologist, Galley will launch seasonal cocktail menus and themed interactive monthly cocktail experiences. Galley’s esteemed bottomless brunch will return with new offerings featuring shareable tapas and tableside cocktails. Fan-favorite wine dinners will kick off in October with a series of wineries being featured alongside an al fresco dinner, led by Executive Chef Rodrigo Mezadri. 

Pink Steak – West Palm Beach (Coming Soon – December 2023)
Julien Gremaud, chef and restaurateur behind the popular Avocado Grill in downtown West Palm Beach, loves a good steak, but he can do without the classic, rich-upon-rich sides and the “manly” expectations of a traditional American steakhouse. Gremaud is looking to create a modern steakhouse with a retro-chic Florida vibe– that’s the idea behind Pink Steak, a meat-focused restaurant coming to The Shops at The Press. With 14-foot ceilings, 4,500 square feet of indoor dining space and 1,000 square feet of covered patio dining, Pink Steak will offer 170 seats throughout the restaurant.

Tutto Mare – Palm Beach (Late 2024)

Tutto Mare, a Mediterranean concept from the Tutto il Giorno restaurant group with current locations including Southampton, East Hampton and Sag Harbor, New York, will open at The Royal Poinciana Plaza as Palm Beach’s first and only intra-coastal waterfront restaurant. Tutto Mare will feature delicious cuisine and an unforgettable guest experience, with an outdoor terrace overlooking the water to align with the original vision of a coastal open-air eatery.

Maman at The Square West Palm Beach (Spring 2024)

Maman is a French café and leading lifestyle brand with locations across North America and Canada. Inspired by family traditions and the highest quality ingredients, Maman offers a selection of delicious baked goods, including their famous nutty chocolate chip cookie, coffee, fresh breakfast and lunch options spanning from hearty salads and sandwiches to savory quiches.

Limani Grille and Madame Tang’s at Town Center at Boca Raton – Boca Raton (Spring 2024)
Town Center at Boca Raton will welcome two first-to-market restaurants, Limani Grille and Madame Tang’s, in Spring 2024. These new offerings will further elevate the center’s unique dining experiences. At Limani Grille, diners will receive a warm welcome and be seamlessly transported into the elegance of Greek and Mediterranean lifestyle upon seating. Madame Tang’s further diversifies the Boca Raton culinary scene with its one-of-a-kind Asian dining experience. Combining the opulence of Las Vegas with the elegance of Shanghai, the restaurant puts forward an expansive bar and elevated Chinese menu that provides a fresh take on classic, family-favorite dishes that all diners can enjoy.

Restaurant Row – Boca Raton (Coming Soon)

Nestled in Midtown Boca Raton, this indoor-outdoor dining complex developed by PEBB Enterprises is the latest addition to the city’s expanding food scene. Occupants will include the first Palm Beach County location of Pubbelly Sushi, Mexican mezcal and tequila bar El Camino, Fiolina Pasta House led by Washington D.C. Michelin-star chef Fabio Trabocchi, and Shabibi, a Lebanese-inspired concept from chef Ralph Pagano of Naked Taco restaurants. Restaurant Row will also boast sculptures, expansive seating and a central fountain, making for a food-centric gathering space.

Palm Beach International Airport – West Palm Beach (Coming Soon)

Palm Beach International Airport (PBI) has recently received several accolades, including being ranked number four on the nation’s best medium size airports list by J.D. Power, and number four on The Best Airports in the U.S. by Conde Nast Traveler. The announcement comes months after readers of Travel + Leisure ranked PBI among the nation’s top ten best airports. PBI continues to experience record passenger volume with nearly 7.4 million passengers traveling through the airport in 12 months. To meet the demand, the airport is undergoing a multi-million-dollar project at Concourse B, part of a phased modernization program for PBI. The first phase will include a new 3,000-square-foot restaurant and restroom expansion. Other updates will consist of an overall refresh, an integrated nursing suite, a sensory room to create a calming space for travelers with autism and more. Many seasonal flights are returning to the airport in the coming months, including daily direct service to Los Angeles on JetBlue starting December 2023. Other seasonal flights returning include service to Minneapolis, Chicago, Houston, and Washington-Dulles International Airport.
